INCENTIVE:

At her canon point, Skye's primary concern is the secret behind her birth, despite her newly forming ties to SHIELD. The city can easily persuade her to stay for a tenure by promising her the answers she seeks: the truth about her parents, where she comes from, and whether or not they're still alive.

FIT:

In canon, Skye deals with a series of romantic entanglements over the seasons. She is betrayed by her first boyfriend, Miles, for money after sleeping with him behind SHIELD's back; she is betrayed by her second "boyfriend" (loosely defined), Ward, for HYDRA; and she loses her third boyfriend, Lincoln, to death after fighting through his sordid history of alcohol and domestic abuse (that he perpetrated). Which is to say, we've seen Skye in a wide variety of romantic relationships; at her core, her primary goal in them seems to be to maintain her independence and a healthy amount of distance rather than surrendering herself entirely such that she couldn't survive cutting the cord.

But it also shows us that she has a very relaxed attitude towards sex within a monogamous relationship, but not outside of it. She chides Ward for his relationship with May and expresses her own personal disinterest (Skye specifies she asked to get a drink with him, not have sex) in such a casual encounter.

However, we also see a lot of platonic intimacy from Skye. She's very touchy-feely with her friends, and bonds with them super quickly. She's huggy and cuddly with Fitzsimmons both, throwing herself at Jemma within the first six episodes for a hug, allowing even May, who she isn't particularly close to, to wrap an arm around her and steer her away for the comfort in her time of need. She's a big advocate of physical shows of support and affection in friendships.

CONSENT:

Skye has not broken any sexual/intimate consent rules in canon; however, she has initiated platonic relationships with the intent of deceit, presenting herself as interested in SHIELD while she was actually in it for herself, sneaking around with Miles, etc. She learns the error of her ways and commits herself fully to SHIELD after she's caught out, and beyond that, the city settles the only motivation she ever had to do it in the first place since Skye dislikes deceit, and did not enjoy it in the first place.

Skye does not yet have her vibrational/earthquake powers that she obtains in 2x10, but I do intend to eventually update her to that point. Should I deal with power capping in the canon update or now?
